Electrolytic Hydrogen Catalytic Electrodes
Plasma-spray feedstock for electrodes
Request a quote for this gradeTraditional Raney-nickel electrodes are made by plasma-spraying Ni-Al mixed powder then leaching aluminum; density differences make uniform mixing hard, causing uneven Ni/Al distribution. Yingrui adopted nickel-coated aluminum, leveraging the exothermic plasma reaction to develop a low-cost feedstock: it yields uniform Ni-Al distribution (eliminating performance fluctuation) and far higher bonding strength to the nickel mesh, so the coating resists spalling/cracking under high current density and long operation. After special activation, surface Al drops below 0.5% while Ni-Al intermetallics are retained, maintaining a porous structure and improving cavitation resistance.
